Refund Policy
Housp provides digital and operational services such as:
- Real estate listing and evaluation
- Buyer-seller matchmaking
- Token coordination and escrow liaison
- Broker onboarding and listing exposure
- Transaction facilitation and documentation assistance
- Digital platform access and market outreach
These services, once initiated, require dedicated effort, professional time, and technology deployment. Accordingly, most charges incurred for such services are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
NON-REFUNDABLE FEES
Unless otherwise specified in an individual transaction or offer, the following fees are non-refundable once paid:
- Broker Onboarding Fees: Nominal or one-time charges paid by brokers for access to platform features, property listings, or deal participation.
- Platform Access or Listing Fees: Fees associated with displaying, promoting, or enabling buyer visibility of properties.
- Brokerage Charges or Success Fees: Commission-based earnings tied to deal closures or introductions. These reflect performance-based facilitation and are not subject to refund once due.
- Administrative and Document Handling Charges: Any fees paid towards due diligence, legal verification, or coordination with third-party service providers.
We encourage all users to review service descriptions and fee structures carefully before initiating payment.
TOKEN PAYMENTS AND COMMITMENT AMOUNTS
In certain transactions, either Housp or a participating buyer may provide a token amount as a measure of commitment toward a property.
The refundability of such token amounts is governed by the transaction context and any documentation or written understanding shared at the time of commitment. Housp does not collect, hold, or control such amounts unless explicitly specified. We are not responsible for disputes between third-party buyers and sellers involving private arrangements unless facilitated directly through Housp’s escrow or platform mechanisms.
Where Housp is responsible for facilitating or disbursing a token amount and a refund is sought, such claims must be assessed based on platform activity logs, agreement records, and applicable transaction stages.
EXCEPTIONS – WHEN REFUNDS MAY BE ISSUED
Although most service fees are final, we may issue refunds under specific, limited circumstances, including:
- Duplicate Payment: If a user has inadvertently paid twice for the same service, and no additional service was rendered as a result.
- Payment Gateway Errors: If technical or bank-side failures result in incorrect or unauthorized charges, and payment is verified as unprocessed by Housp.
- Non-activation of Paid Services: If a user pays for a service (e.g., broker onboarding) but no access is granted due to a verified internal error or system fault.
- Incorrect Payment: If a payment was made in error for a service that was not intended, not rendered, and has been confirmed as unused.
Refund eligibility under these exceptions is subject to validation by our support and accounts team.
REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, you must formally initiate a request by writing to our support team at the contact below. All refund requests must be submitted within 7 days from the date of payment.
Please include the following information in your request:
- Full name and registered email address
- Date and amount of transaction
- Mode of payment and transaction reference number
- Description of the issue and reason for requesting a refund
- Supporting documents or screenshots, if applicable
Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Submitting a request does not guarantee refund approval.
REFUND PROCESSING AND TIMELINES
Once a refund is approved, it will be processed through the original payment method unless explicitly requested otherwise by the user and confirmed by Housp. Refunds may take 7–14 business days to reflect in your account depending on your payment provider, gateway timelines, and bank clearing processes. You will be notified by email once the refund is initiated.
SITUATIONS WHERE REFUNDS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED
To avoid misunderstandings, please note that refunds will not be entertained under the following circumstances:
- Services were availed or accessed, in whole or part, before cancellation was requested
- A buyer or seller changes their intent or withdraws voluntarily after engagement has begun
- A user is dissatisfied with the outcome or market dynamics beyond Housp’s control
- Delays in deal closure due to third-party issues, regulatory approvals, or bank processing
- Violations of Terms & Conditions or misconduct resulting in account suspension
- Disputes involving private token arrangements not documented or handled by Housp
We aim to be supportive where possible but must also maintain fairness and consistency in our platform operations.
DISCRETIONARY GOODWILL REFUNDS
In rare, exceptional circumstances, Housp may issue a goodwill refund purely at its discretion, where no legal or contractual obligation exists but doing so aligns with our values of fairness and transparency.
These are one-time considerations and shall not be treated as precedent or entitlement.
